Our course is a mixture of gardening and cooking classes. Our gardening course is 1 day long after which we will implement into our own garden beds weekly 2 hours. Cooking and gardening classes will be held for 2 hours per week each group and 4 weeks long.
We'll provide each participant with a food box at the end of each session. The food box will contain ingredients to complete the recipe they learned in class and a gift card to get started on healthy cooking.
Our program's age groups include:
Y.E.A. hosts 50 participants for each session and 6 sessions a year for a total of 300 participants. Get in touch with us for more details.
Our goal is to educate our youth on the basics of gardening and the process by which the food reaches our tables from the farms. Our community partner Jen offers her farm in Fort Collins so our participants can enjoy a day of gardening activities. We accommodate 25 students for each trip from 4 - 18 years.
This program fosters and empowers our youth with the resources needed to lead healthy eating habits eventually living healthy lives. We'll educate each participant to plant, grow, and nurture seeds that will further be used to prepare healthy meals. We hold a few partnerships to make this program more enriching and educational.
